Esther grew up in Virginia and came to weddings by way of journalism. That training is still the whole method: watch carefully, stay out of the way, and let the day happen rather than arrange it. What survives is clean, timeless and honest about how the day actually felt.

The work is a refined mix of digital and film, made on both modern and vintage equipment. It is why a gallery holds together as one body of work instead of a folder of highlights, and why the frames people return to are usually the quiet ones nobody thought to plan.

Savannah is home. Beyond it, Esther photographs across Charleston, Sea Island and St. Simons Island, working closely with experienced planners so a complicated timeline never costs a couple the moments worth keeping.
